My shortscale Fujigen Gakki bass from 1962’s bridge broke the other day and I can’t find any replacement parts. Does anybody know where I could get a new one or what kind of bridge to use. Disregard the title. Not a Guyatone. I was wrong.
Can we get a pic of the broken bridge? Regarding parts on those sixties Japanese basses, it's not even variations on a theme. It's all variations.
Looks to me like the saddle could be reproduced by a tech without much difficulty. I've done similar myself. It was much quicker and easier than finding a replacement.
I'm not sure about the string spacing match between the two saddles but it wouldn't hurt to try it. If the Bronco saddle isn't a drop in fit, maybe it can be modified to work.
Have you considered Shaller Bridge with rollers. You can adjust the string spacing and width. Worked for me.
