Should I add...

  1. another 4x10 to my current Laney 4x10, or add a 1x15. I'd like the extra lows that the 15 gives but I don't want it too be boomy and drown out the 4x10. Thing is I love the 4x10 so I wouldn't hesitate getting another one of those, but I can't try a 1x15 cos the shop doesn't have one, and the only way they can get one is if i buy it (typical story). I'm just thinking the 15 might handle the low B a bit better at high volumes, but it would be cool to have an 8x10.. Decisions decisions...

    Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

I love the the pairing of 410s and a 115 in every combination I've ever come across. 810s are certainly popular, even among 5 string players, but in my book nothing beats the thump of a 15 inch cone underneath the sparkle of a good 410 cab.

    Pure bassey goodness :)
  3. 4x10 more will result in more volume than 1x15, but I like the 1x15 sound.

The 1x15 won't overpower the 410 anytime soon. I'd say the 15 is the better option as you seem to be looking for more lows. If you don't need more volume and you only want the low end then really a 15"would be the way to go. Also, it's a pain to haul around two 4x10's and it most likely isn't NEEDED.
