Recently I have been craving power and quality. Not too long ago I purchased a Modulus Quantum 5 and the lows were just terrible matched with my wimpy ampeg SVT 410HE and GK 400 RB-III. I was looking to upgrade to a Mesa Boogie 400+ along with Mesa cabs. This turned out to be beyond my budget, so I traded in my stuff and got an Ampeg 810E and an Ampeg SVT4-pro.

Should this fill my needs in medium sized gigs? I played this rig at the store and sounded incredible, but I can't compare to a live event. Thoughts? was this a good purchase or a mistake? Oh and with the trade, it came up to $1500 total.

That will let you fill medium sized gigs no problem, dont worry about that :D The 8x10 will kick some serious rear end aswell. If power is an issue for you, man, it wont be now :D

Thats a nice rig. You shouldnt have any problems with volume in most bars.
