For sale here in little old New Zealand is a Cort 3535. 5 string, 35" scale, ash body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 2 mighty mite active soapbars, gold hardware, and plenty of knobs for me to fiddle with including a slap contour switch. Comes with a nice hard road case. They are asking $600NZ which is about $400 US. For comparison, a used Ibanez BTB405 is selling for about NZ$1000 (US$700). Things are expensive here. I want a cheap-ish but nice 5-string to learn 5-string on, but it needs to be reasonable sounding so I could use it at gigs in the future. I hear that Corts are nice, but not fantastic. But I don't see anything else this nice coming up cheaper anytime soon. Thoughts?
