I was doing this for a really long time. There are many fine qualities and attributes to this, including much of this and more...and years of experience contributed to the refinement of this, including much trial & error, and experimentation over the many years. But then I joined TalkBass and realized that I should probably be doing that instead of doing this..and I'm definitely going to need to trade in or sell this and this and this in order to get that and that and that if I'm going to do that instead of this... Should I do this, or should I do that? Or should I keep doing some of this, and do some of that? How much of this, and how much of that? Or all of That? Or all of this?
As my niece pointed out, that all works out fine until he hooks up with Loki to run a grift that may or may not involve the destruction of the entire world.
we must all play our compensatory roles to fill the void of humorousness left by The Unholy Banning...but none of us can do it alone...we shall not go quietly into the night....
It's obvious to me, if you've been doing this for as long as you have and you've only experienced this, then that can only be this plus more so I vote for that. It doesn't really matter though, as a bass player, you probably won't get any either way.
The other day at band practice, I did this instead of this throughout the entire practice...and then I asked everyone else in the band if they liked this, or the this I did before this..and they stared at me for a few seconds, and then starting talking about what they thought of the flanger the guitar player used on an intro.
I strongly agree. The "other thing" is always different. That is the direction of evolution and continuous improvement. Doing the "other thing" keeps you from getting locked into the stagnant "this" or "that".
I'm confused. Are we talking about this other thing or that other thing? Too much complication can lead to confusion. Let's try and do Nothing.
Whenever I'm in doubt I just simply stroke my jerkweasel. It doesn't help me make a decision, but it does relieve some stress. You don't wan't to make a decision while stressed. Very bad juju!
