I might have the chance to get a bass whammy and it's quite cheap to, I'm all up for wierd and wonderful sounds but I'm not sure just how useful this would be, I do mainly play with my effect by myself so it might add a good texture but again not sure, what do you guys think of the whammy.

    Master help me please

i dont think u necessarily need the bass version of the whammy, the new red one works find on bass in my experience

but anyways, im basing this "review" on the red one, but i found the harmonies to be abit useless, used the octave up and octave down features, which are great. i can imagine the octave down funciton can be quite useful for many bassists.

Erm I found a s/h bass one for about 1/2 the price of the new red whammy and I also might be able to trade a pedal for it not sure though yet but thats for the info.

I have the same opportunity. My choice is made, I'm going to take it.

Why ? First, I need a good octaver and it seems it does the job well. Secondly, I'm thinking of adding distorsion on a 5th up to add a voice during the guitar solo (only one guitar in my band), likethe Akai unibass does. THen, if I can find other ways to use it...

And finally, I think I won't have any problem to re sell it if I'm not totally happy with it.

Add to this that I prefer blue to red and you've got it ! :D
And I like all that is "rare"...
