Should I get a distortion pedal?

    Um...I have a problem...I enjoy hearing distortion. What would happen if i hooked my self up with a distortion pedal?...Would it change how much volume I had or would I just get distortion?
    If you believe I should get a distortion pedal, what type should I look for?

    All caps in a title is a big no-no in my book, let me edit that for you.....as for your question, its been covered one times too many, just looks on each page of the effects history, and I'm sure youll find about 3 threads per page on distortion....
