Should I jump on this??

    I just found a Teal Musicman Sub(Active) for $500. It's a discontinued color, so they're wanting to get it out the door. I've been looking to start learning the bass and had a couple of models in mind - this is one of them. Any comments?

    That is not a bad price, but not great either.

    It's not a bad price I agree, I sugesst trying it out. I touched one and it just gave me the jibblies all over. There was this Sterling on the other hand..... *drools* But it was 1500.00$ :bawl: Good luck, shop around!

    Same price I got it for. I love it, and they still sell for $699 in most places. I wouldn't go e-bay just to save a few bucks, but that may be just me. Only thing is, I had to give up a lot to get it, so I'm still debating on keeping it. I'm pretty fascinated with a particular Jazz, BTB, and Spector. As I said, I do love it, but with the sacrifices I ended up having to make to get this bass, I want to make sure I end up 100% happy. Also, no more matter how much g.a.s. I build up, I can't get anyting else until Christmas. :meh:

    Yeah, that's it! I thought that it was an awesome deal and all I read are good reviews on it. Thanks for the info. I'm going to probably put some $$$ down and then I'll have to sell my beloved Taylor 555(jumbo 12 string - awesome guitar) to get the rest and then start to look at an amp setup...

     
  7. blah. the price of a new SUB here is the same cost (more than!!) a new SR. grrr!

    $500 seems pretty decent, definatly try it out first, i wasn't hugely pleased with the one si tried, pretty good feeling and sounding, but not a sting ray - but i guess that aint revelent! ;)
