thats sounds like a lot but considering your location im not sure if thats a good deal. im sure there are plenty of people here that will be more of a help.
1900! Ouch, Unless you absoulty love that Musicman get it. I personally don't like the 5-string Musicman, but thats in my opinion. If I were you I'd take a look at the 55-02 Skyline Lakland, same electronics as the usa ones. I played booth usa and skylines. I really think the Skyline should be like 500+ more seriously.... The bass is so well made its not even funny. I'd take that into consideration.
Is that 1900 Euros, 1900 Krona, or US$1900? If it's Krona - JUMP ON IT ! If it's Euros, it sounds a little high for our local US market, but we don't have your taxes and import duties, either. If it's US$, run away!
If that is US$, and the bass is new, that sounds like a good deal. Oysterman could probably help out in this. O-man, are you out there?
In Sweden, I would guess that they would be at least $2000. I remember Oysterman saying that a 'Ray 5 was $2000 or $2500, I don't remember exactly. That's why I thought that he might be a good person to answer the question for OP.
Yeoww! I knew they'd be more, but not THAT much more! I sure hope they get better deals on Saabs, at least...
It's 1900$. Thanks for the help... Isn't the 'Ray good? I mean, with the piezo pickups and all? I also found a Warwick Thumb bass bolt-on for 2000$. Is that a good deal?
For a stingray 5 with piezos, 16500 SEK sounds like an OK deal, if it's new. About the thumb - how many strings? I don't know, it's probably a normal price here in Sweden, but personally i think you're paying a bit much for what you get.
I paid $1650.00 for my vintage sunburst MM5 with piezo. Do you get any other options? Special finishes? They are pretty high priced with the piezo.
If it's new, it's a normal price, i suppose. At http://www.jam.se/ there is a used 4-string stingray with piezos for 16900, which should make your 5 string a better deal.
