I want to see!
Used to be sunburst.
'82 G&L. Besides the obvious wear, the finish is completely checked. I've never played another bass with so huge a sound.
::waits for 100+ pictures of Jaco's bass::
And probably Tommy Shannon too.
It does kinda look that way! Actually it's just sweaty hair swinging a weird way...
No..I ....I think it's a mullet.
My 70's P-bass
P.S. That does look like a mullet, but if you look closely you can see the rest of the hair flying above his head. hehe
My faithful warhorse, the finish has yellowed which gives the walnut a warm glow, a few (little) dings, the brass is worn all over the place, the controls are well used and there's a whole lotta fingerprints (mine) on the pickups. I just love this bass!
Neck date of 12/64. I bought it in that condition in the early 80's (it's now owned by a family member). The back is much more chewed up... don't have a pic of that available.
It's kinda hard to see, but it's the last on on the wall next to the EUB.
Early 70's Jazz, modded to hell, re-necked 3 three times ( ), beat to hell (been thru a few tours national and inter- and more club dates than I can remember) and still plays/sounds freakin' amazing!!
I'll shoot a better pix and swap it out later.
That would be Billy Sheehan's old bass from the 80's if im not mistaken? The scalloped frets are a dead give away.
