    Hello talkland! Have any of you modified your Aria SB series basses? If so, care to share some pics/descriptions for me?

    Yes, I've modified a couple of SBs when their pickups crapped out. I was able to find Alembic pickups/electronics and dropped them in. Here is an SB-R60 that I also changed to all black hardware...The red LED is a little homage to the SB-1000. It sounds great!

    Second, I had an SB-1000CB modified to look more like Cliff Burton's SB-1000...Mods: Original SB bridge (though not narrow string spacing like a vintage SB1000), original Aria knobs and tuners (taken from the SB-R60!). It also had to have a refret. FYI, I didn't do the work myself, a great shop in Seoul, Korea called MD Guitars did the work (for both basses)....See pics below.

    They look great! How does the Alembic pup sound in contrast to the ME50?
