  1. since getting my dingwall with the maple neck and matching headstock
the look is really growing on me. F93A5C69-CCFD-477C-9204-4ABCAA469290.jpeg Looking for more. Any brand, string configuration, and price is cool but big bonus for affordable but gig worthy 5 strings, I’m keeping an eye out for an affordable backup.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of just my maple/ matching headstock 5 stringer by itself:

amazing that you built that yourself. Kind of reminds me of the acacia guitars single cut fan fret basses.

Id love to get into building basses after I retire. Got a ways to go though. How did you start out? Building parts basses or learning under someone else?
  9. I'm a trained metal machinist/engineer, just decided one day to build one myself, I never read any books or had any teaching for guitar building, just used my common engineering skills and insights and started building.

I wouldn’t call it super affordable but it’s a great bass

My stingray 5 hs was a great bass in pacific blue burst with a maple board and matching headstock but I don’t have any pics of it. They can be found used fairly “affordable”.
