Recently, I’ve just fallen in love with basses and guitars with a black (or Texas tea) body, gold pickgaurd and maple neck. I don’t know what it is. It’s very simple but very warm and inviting look to me. Perhaps it’s the American ultra series that’s kind of started this phase I’m going through, but I’d love to see some photos of your black/gold/maple basses! Brand doesn’t matter. As long as it fits the criteria of body colour, pickgaurd colour and neck wood. Can be regular maple, quilted, flamed, Birdseye, or roasted, whatever you’ve got. Can be any style or colour of inlays either. Looking forward to seeing some of your beautiful basses!
I’ll start this off with some Fender jazz bass goodness: And here’s a beautiful black/gold/maple p bass too (if anyone can identify the model?): Don’t be shy! Show ‘em off!
Sorry, Rumble, but the closest I've got to keep your thread rolling is a black-with-(some)-maple held together by gold hardware.
