Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by garmenteros, Jun 15, 2012.

  1. I'm really enjoying it. Its really easy to get a good tone without struggling. I mainly use the 800RB sim and just do a few minor EQ tweaks from there. Super flexible though. I do wish the overdrive had a clean blend but thats a minor complaint. It might be changed with the upcoming update. But it's built well, quiet and easy to manage once you get the hang of the "dual" purpose knobs. You aren't going to feel the ooooomph of that big ole 1001 of yours but I bet you could get close in the tone/eq department?

And its pretty when its lit up! ;)

    Best wishes,
    Brent

That’s the ModDuo by ModDevices. It’s a multi-effects unit that has a web based interface for creating unlimited virtual pedalboards, but is still useful when just navigating via onboard screens. Two physical and separate (but combinable) I/O paths, so you could run different instruments with separate effects chains, or one instrument with stereo out. Midi extensible if you need more foot switches. Sort of like a mashup of a Zoom MS-60B and a Headrush Gigboard, but the two inputs and ability to have separate effects chains was the final sales point for me.

New drummer is setting up and he said “damn that’s a lot of pedals for a bass player”. I said it’s definitely cut down from where it was

  9. I tried out for a band, but didn't bring any pedals. I mentioned I didn't want to scare them off. Haha. Luckily, they're into it!

I really like that the G10S has an XLR out, however, It would be really cool if there was some way to get your effected signal back in to the G10S (separate input I guess) so that the XLR out sent your final tone to the house.

Covers everything I need at this point, but considering chucking it all for a Boss GT-1000 since the latest update adds a lot for bass.
