I'm interested in building a small cabinet (maybe 4-6 5'' drivers.) I remember a thread on a 16x5'' cabinet but I can't find it. Anyway, show me what you have!

Check out the Big E thread!

Here's my Big E 2x6.5's with a Mesa Buster. Pure clean tube tone.

In perspective with an SVT + 810E, 300 Pro + Kustom 118B, and an old Ampeg(?) 118 of some sort.

Oh yeah... from a few years back I turned some Quantum guitar cabs into bass cabs using some MCM woofers and some bracing. Killer tone with a 1001RB-II.

  9. Hey I wouldnt be sad to see a big Phil Jones rig with 45 8" drivers in it provided as a backline. Just dont ask me to move it, or pay for it...

Yes, those two a$$ woopin' 15's in that cab disqualify you CL400!;)

  11. But look at those two little, but potent 6" drivers that add so much clarity!

Voila, the Greenboy "Crazy8" mini-powerhouse cab! With an FDeck HPF-Pre, this 8ohm cab gets as loud as a good 110. Weighs about 16 pounds. Perfect for acoustic bass. Works well with electric bass, too. Provides a clean, PA-type sound that takes EQ very well.

    Correct.;)

  16. Hey now, Charlie...

Small is subjective. Smaller than an 810? Got one of those. Smaller than a 410 or 115? got one of those too...

Smaller than a 110? nope, dont have one of those.

With all due respect, not in this case:

  18. Well that is true. My cab only has two 6" speakers... :crying:

Wonder if any of you DIY guys haved messed with this Fane. http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/55-2810

Decent specs for electric bass. Not the asskicker the Faital is but nowhere near the price either. Wonder if it might make a nice little coffeehouse/backporch jam cab, or replacements for SWR Henry's, etc.

My computer is toast and can't do box modeling. :D

The datasheet varies some from the ad copy, I'm going by the datasheet. Has computer sim of lowend in 25 liters @ 50hz but no excursion limits, etc.
