Hey Guys, I'm really curious about these basses. I'ld love to see what you have. Also - your thoughts about what you like about them. Maybe some stories in regards to performing or recording- maybe things that you have learned over time that makes you appreciate them more - or maybe things that have been a challenge for you.
Here’s my VB4 with a custom Glen Cronkhite leather gig bag. I use it for a travel bass and really don’t play it that often. My regular basses are Sadowsky NYCs and this bass sits a little different where the upper range is more easily accessible. So, when I do play it, I have to remember to adjust the balance slightly as I don’t play much past the 12th fret. It’s heavier than you might think. The body is very finely sanded and it’s absolutely the smoothest natural body finish I’ve ever played...wonderful to the touch. It’s fun to play and sounds great when I dial it in the way I like.
Hey @vanderbe nice bass. And nice bag too! A lot of people don’t know that Glen Cronkite is a fantastic drummer too. I played a few gigs with him decades ago.
