Show off your carbon graphite pickguard!

    Well i hope at least one person has one of these and will post fotos/comments. I have been looking into a radical departure and have someone custom make one.. They seem to be hard to work with, and are very expensive if they are as thick as a normal pickguard.

    Are you talking about a carbon fiber pickguard? I have one on my main bass (tobacco burst Jazz bass) and it looks great. It's about half the thickness of a normal guard, but it's hardly noticable. I'll try to find a pic of it.

    I've debated doing a CF pickguard on my black JP-90, to give it an interesting look, and in my travels on the 'net I came across some of the automotive sites that offer CF look adhesive sheets. This site has some pretty cheap offerings as an alternative. I haven't bitten the bullet yet, but I am seriously considering... Let me know if you go with a CF look, I am very intrigued with how it could look.

    this is the photo that got me thinking. its not my bass, and its a clear guard over a thin CF sheet material.
