Finally, a pic that does it justice. I used Krylon glitter and sealer spray cans. Lots of sealer. It took a few attempts, lots of "oops", sanding and starting over. But here it is.... Flat black base and gold glitter. And BTW, Go SAINTS

  6. Nice, Who Dat! I am very much a wood grain guy. But have toyed with the idea of a Black and Gold bass. I even have gold MOP Fleur de lis fret inlays for when that day comes!

I've looked at that pic 5 times and I still don't see a bass.

  8. Is that old gold? Where did you find it?

Fixed it for you. Also as a last ditch effort to reright the train, and because I love metal flake finishes, what were your "oops" lessons learned doing this? That really is a fantastic picture by the way.

Haha. The bass is in there. Next to the leg.

I found the old gold at Lowes, if I recall.

Mostly, I was in a hurry and tried shortcuts. Just take your time between coats. Also, as far as rattle cans, make sure your sealer / top coat agrees with your solid colors and/or sparkles. Turns out that using what ever was left over in the garage was not the best idea. I knew better, too. TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS IS NEEDED.

    Go Saints
    ......and check out jennasyde.com
    uuuummmm, that's it - cheers
