Got any interesting knob action going on, either for coolness or utility?
I think I'm a put these on a jazz.
I got these dice knobs from a company that used dice that were used in actual casinos.
These are from some casino in Vegas, I don't remember which.
You get to choose which number(s) face up, and if the knobs sit with a flat side facing up, or
with a point/corner facing up.
They are very high quality and durable, unlike some of the cheaper dice knobs I've seen.
Gold with abalone tops on my Wolf WTHB-7W string.
Gold with abalone tops on my Tune TWB63WN
Black with abalone tops on my Dean Sledgehammer.
It may look like a normal teacup knob, but in fact it's a knob off my first bass, a 1967 Höfner 500/1 that my Dad bought me 40 years ago when I was 13, and a year later I was stupid enough to sell it to my teacher. I changed the knobs to black and kept the original knobs for some reason all those years. So this knob is the only thing I have left from my first bass, now it's on a 1960 500/3, and it's really special to me.
I was like why all 6s? Oh, cool.
I'm thinking about getting these..
Stanley Clarke Spellbinder Bass Knobs
I do have an older Spellbinder.
Those are some cool knobs.
I dont see anyone's are numbered. No distinct position indicator. I guess you could use the tail of the bass clef from the Spellbinders. The 500/3 is gorgeous, such a tasty instrument.
The devil made me do it
I see youre the man behind the Carlo Robelli club, Ima look it up, cos I have an interesting one.
Indeed I am, although we've have no new posts for a very long time.
I do so love those basses, so any new additions are welcomed!
What are the best Metal knobs for getting a good grip?
I've replaced many metal knobs with plastic knobs in order to trim weight. In some cases, 3 ounces or so can be trimmed on certain basses just by changing knobs.
I sure love chicken heads

The chicken head knobs look cool, but not so much for volume swells. Bummer. I do have them on a couple of my amps, though.
Mine are pretty out there. Very unique. Not a lot of people have these.
