Is the backside of your bass interesting or unique? Does it have figuring the front doesn't? Well post a pic of it here!

I can think of several TB members whose basses have backs I like even more that their fronts, like Mathewfoote's Sei, Mark Latimour's custom, and Progzilla's DP (although there's a reason for that one ;)). I've always wanted to see the backs of most of JT's basses as well. So show the ignored half of your bass!

  2. As it was mentioned above I thought I would post a picture of the back of my Sei.

Buckeye burl over a swamp ash body,

through neck of flame maple with wenge stringers,

Inlay over one of the back compartment covers of 3000 year old bog oak dragged from the fen lands of England.

Sycamore veneer [dyed black] as a contrast veneer between the buckeye facing and the body and the neck and the body wings.

The back of the headstock is faced with buckeye but is not shown in the picture.

    Sure, why not?

This instrument is no longer owned by me, but I thought backside might be interesting primarily the wenge' neck and pao amarillo stringers which is a wood I hadn't heard of before or since owning this instrument.
