Jazz bass knobs on a P bass.
Just needs one.
So, loosely related to the subject, how many different types/sizes of pot shafts are there, in use in musical instruments?
knurled (are they always 18T?)
Again, this is only related to musical instruments, onboard preamps, etc.
Some are 6mm, some are 6.4. Most are 6mm I believe, which was each of the basses in my case.
My Thunderbird's go to 11.
I'm no expert, but I believe knobs for split post pots will fit other split post pots, but not solid post pots.
Mike Kroeger,Bassist for Nickleback.. Best Bass Knob out there!
I've always like the tops on Rob Allen basses!! The knob(s) on the bridge is/are cool, too!
Tune basses come with black plastic knobs.
I put on Q-parts abalone topped gold knobs on my both my basses.
here you go. The 411 on metric and standard pots, split and solid pot shafts, and what knobs fit what. The problem i had when looking for knobs was so many sellers fail to tell you what their products will (and won’t) fit.

I just bought some Kilo International knurled aluminum knobs from Digikey.com for my Cirrus. Shown next to the stock Cirrus knob.

also phenolic ( 4 of them, anyways)
i always liked these:
Not necessarily. There are fine splined shafts and coarse splines. There are aftermarket knobs that will fit either, but not all of them do.
