I was just appreciating how beautiful the wood is on my Warwick the other day. It looks to me like great care was taken in the selection and the way it was put together.

Does Warwick still put the same care into their wood choices? I know they pump out way more basses then they did when I bought mine. I'm curious if the newer ones look as good.

I'd like to see the woodwork on other companies too.

    Show us all your wood!!!!!!!!

edit: damn - my pic was too big. gotta downsize it and I'll post it in a minute.

i have used these pics in other threads, sorry but they fit really good in this one too. here's my homemade RASH V in all his woodish splendour:

mahogany and flame maple body, maple and purpleheart bolt on neck, rosewood headstock and ebony fingerboard. it smokes.

Fuzz - What Tobias does with wood is really gorgeous. Plus, the pieces always seem to be special. That is some kind of purty!!!

Recently received a photo of the back (the Cal. claro walnut burl is apparent but the birdseye-quilted maple and purpleheart aren't)

Half, (duh), of the cocobolo top

:) No that's the pic Pete Hanewinckel sent me when he shipped it to me to show me what the controls did (in the big version you can actually read them).

Still the nicest pic of it I have, so I throw it around alot despite the titles. :D

    My Walnut Wal:
Not the best pictures, and of course it looks much better in person.

One more of my Wal (can you tell I love it?):
A glarey picture but it shows the open grained texture of the finish and also shows how different it looks in different lighting.
(Thanks for bearing with me and my Wal)

This is a Warmoth quilt maple topped alder Jazz body. The paint work is Wilkins and the picture does not do it justice. I've posted this pic here before but I'll take any opportunity to post it again.
    Sorry about the size.
