I've think this one's been done already, no?
the search function didnt return any "show your alembics" or "post your alembic" threads.. if there is one, i'm sorry.
Here ya go. All these pictures are in my Talkbass Gallery. The bass in the middle in the 1st picture was sold about a year or so ago but I still have the other two.

What's the going price for used Alembics these days?
whats with the alembic going into a crate amp lol
agreed, such a fine bass should be accompanied by a fine amp
A) Crate amp = gift from wife.
B) My REAL rig is pictured in the top photo
C) Notice the baby swing to my left. Practicing through 500w rig while baby is napping = castration w/o anesthetic
LOL! : )
Umm...its got Alembic pickups and electronics ... I couldnt afford the rest of one:
alembic or not, that thing is sick...SICK
Allllll-righty then, here's my dastardly duo.
I really like the top on that bass. The figuring is great!
How affordable is an "affordable" Alembic in the states? Here they start at $4300AUS for the most basic model with no options!
Really nice, guys. I might get a Spoiler or Orion sometime down the road. They seem fairly inexpensive (compared to the 13 grand Series II that I'd love to own )
One thing I should have done with my bass, in hindsight, was get the signature electronics modified to also include a bass and treble control on the bass.
I got a quote for it and it wasnt too much more (IIRC) and the tonal options from the bass alone would have been fantastic. Is anyone aware of anyone having done this?
(Not that im complaining, the signature electronics are amazing anyway
Here's my Europa 5 string with a Coco Bolo top and Series I electronics.
