I know, I know... yet another photographic topic. But you got to have it associated with a wooden floor... or wall for the most courageous of you! GO!

I'll start with my 4 ladies... they are expecting a new friend by the half of 2019... Did I say a Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jazz Bass? I don't remember saying that.

    What's your favourite? :)

To answer your question, the Coke bass. An on-board bottle opener is likely to be more useful than a traditional tug bar for most people :) Fun stuff!

Here's my bass floor. From l t r: MIM fretless, heavily modified '90 Precision Plus (the body is the only '90 part left actually), MIM PJ, MIA PJ, Godin Shifter Classic X 2, and a Hofner HTC 500/1.

The Fender sunburst PJ (in the middle) has been my #1 since I got it in 2010, but has recently been supplanted by the satin black Godin, at least for the time being. The high-output ceramic Godin pickups push the tubes in my Traynor 300 to mild distortion heaven. Love all these though. They are all in the rehearsal / gig rotation except for the fretless (home practice only for that one)!

Man, I wish I could afford flooring by famed floorngineer and floortist Woody Woorden. I just have a Jimmy Sneakers ground covering unit from his economy “you ain’t on the dirt so shut up” line.

Haha, yeah that Coke bass is pretty usefull during rehearsals too! A mighty vintage P-bass type (1997 Cort body and electronics, neck has been replaced, new one has Coke logos too!), with old round strings for that thumpy sound and openeing beers/drinks! Thanks :)

You seem to like PJs, oh wow! I tend to hate PJs configs unless the J is a dual-coil humbucker, because I don't like the thin tones of 3 running coils, but I'm talking personnal here. The other day I encountered a double P pickup bass, the Fender Jazz Bass blacktop and truly liked its tone. Have you heard one?

Beautiful collection nonetheless! The blue, the black and that "tabacco sunburst" before the Violin bass are my favourite of yours.

She looks pretty unique ! We rarely see Ash bodies without a colour finish associated with a rosewood/dark fingerboard. She looks lovely. So is it the original neck? Can we hear your bass somewhere on the internet? Thanks !

It's an MIM FSR, It's got a great warm tone, more early 60's sound than the brittle later years. I had upgraded the p/ups to CS60's. Sorry. not sure if there are any sound bytes... I might try to do some, if I do... I'll post.

Yeah, love the PJs. Whenever I don't have a true single coil back there, I notice it. My "secret" of getting the best out of that configuration on the Fenders (besides having custom wound MJS pickups) is a TBX tone control. It reduces the resistance of the pots, allowing more of the dynamics of both pickups to shine through when on full. Otherwise, you'll typically hear a volume drop when both are on full and it will sound dull. The TBX, to my ears, is needed to get the best of both worlds. With the Godins, maybe because of the ceramic magnets (??), the P and J sound glorious together without the TBX (I prefer the more focused parallel tone, but in series sounds great too). They can hum like crazy in some environments, but I can live with it as the tone is worth the hum and it doesn't interefere when the band is rocking :)

Old pic. I no longer have those wooden floors. Nor that carpet. Nor that couch. Nor that particular 8-string bass. (But I do have several newer basses!)

Does wood laminate count? The real wood is mostly upstairs.

I guess that's kind of a PA thing.
My mom had one hanging in the garage growing up. I got mine at a flea market somewhere in south Louisiana around 15 years ago.
