I'm really loving my two Elricks, so I was wondering how many other players love them.

    WOW!

What beautiful instruments! I've never heard of Elricks until now!

BTW, what are the two switches for?

Yeah..I love having two of these around...

You know.... the neck is the same as my Deluxe 4.

I have to say THANK YOU again for the heads up on the Classic.

Now I think I have to find a Singlecut 4 to add to the collection.(or have one built)

Did you get the strings I sent?

whilst we have all the TB elrick owners congregated, I'd like to ask a tone question.

Maybe it's just the wood combination in my bass, but I find I have to cut the mids 10% @ 250 using the onboard mid control to cut through which is the opposite of what you would normally do.

    Anyone else have similar experiences?

Don't get me wrong, I love the sound, just find it a bit unusual that the natural sound is so low mid full.

    superphat,

I sold the 5 after I bought the 6, and I sold the 6 because I got a hankering for a David King--pretty much the same sort of reason I've sold Wals, Moduluses, Curbows, MTDs, and lots of other nice instruments that I've owned at one time or another. Until recently, I couldn't really afford to own more than one or two nice basses at a time, so I considered myself sort of a "serial collector". ;)

    Davidmwilson,

I have no complaints about the tone from the bass...I look for a very warm sound...I have the bass boosted about 1/4, the treble flat or cut a little, the mids at 250 with a boost of about a 1/4. Also running it active.
