I have ask a friend of me who is a wood specialist to build me a cab. He already have build several, which are killing beast and absolutely cute.
He will build me a 2x12 cab in which I'll put some Fane speakers (FANE COL12MB)
I asked him to build it in pine.
In which color would you paint it ?? I's like to have a translucid paint to see the nice wood..
    Pics come soon

See below for my DIY ported 12" (Celestion Sidewinder). I have always liked the color, never seen any bass rig like it. If I'm going to build again, it will probably be one of Bill Fitzmaurice's designs.

It's not the greatest picture, but it's a 1x8", with a horn loaded midrange that has enough hi end to get a pretty good slap tone. The carpet was a hall runner that I got at home depot for $12 bucks or something. The woofer is a Peerless home hifi woofer so the thing sound really good but doesn't play loud :meh: Makes an ok stage monitor or great practice speaker.

I use birch veneer ply for my homemade cabs. I just put water based Varathane on 'em.
