I've just acquired my latest Rumblefish (photo to follow) and before I bought it I had never seen that particular color scheme. I'd like to see some photos of other color combinations - who knows, I may get inspired to buy another.

  2. Here's my white/tort 'Fish, #62, maybe the best-looking bass ever. The picture doesn't do it justice. I don't have any pics handy of my blue 'Fish..

I'm sorry they are out of production as I could have gone for another in engine-turned aluminum, smoked chrome w/hotrod flames or dragonfly green.

I'm not certain from the photo - is the white/tort Rumblefish the antique white or a brighter type white?

how much do rumblefish usually cost? I've always loved them but could never find a site where they sold them (I know they're out of production). is it possible to find them on eBay?

Here are my two. I also have the standard white with red tort. My newest one is vintage yellow. When I am not playing my Ritter, I play Reverend!

  12. I'm pretty sure all the white ones are "aged white". The white 5-strings they've got right now on the In Stock/Reduced page of their site look like the same color as my bass. I think the tort guard and rosewood board contrast with the white and make it look brighter than it does with a gold guard and maple board, like this one:

Yeah Dave, the one I just acquired has the vintage white and a gold pickguard and rosewood board. When pictured, it doesn't look as stark a white as yours. I just saw your old dark blue Rumblefish on your band's site - I liked it. I have two questions: 1) are replacement pickguards available for these basses? 2) has anyone besides me noticed that the tone of Rumblefishes in the high registers is liquidy sweet?

  16. Thanks. That bass has the magic, for sure.

You might inquire with Reverend about a replacement pickguard.. with this new batch of basses they made, it looks like they have the parts on-hand. One of the custom pickguard companies could probably make you one if you sent a tracing. The tricky thing is that the Reverend's pickups and electronics are attached to the pickguard, so you'd have to deal with that.
I have definitely noticed the Reverend's sweet tone in the upper registers. Can you imagine how a fretless 'Fish would sound up high?

  17. I know of only one place that has a template, Link. There may be more...

I asked about a month ago at Reverend, they said no. Maybe they have some now?

This site has Reverend pickguards while this site will take a tracing of your pickguard. Both companies have a wide variety of materials and options to choose from.
