I see all of these basses that TB'ers have designed, built or drawn up all the time... I'm interested to see what TB'ers have come up with, and why?

Here is a bass that I designed the shape of, but TB'er schuyler built it for me:

***I was reluctant to post this in Luthier's Corner, since many of the basses might not have been completed by the TB'er that design... such is my case.***

Thanks BillyB! Here's a picture of the Lonnybass, a fretless five string neck-through with a zebrawood body and ziricote laminates. Pickups and preamp are by EMG. It's now strung up with Thomastik Infeld jazz flats, but in this shot it was sporting La Bella tapewounds. Possibly the most ergonomic and comfy instrument EVER!

  10. I wasn't really big on "True North Instruments" was printed on it. Seemed sort of generic. Your logo however is one of the best I've seen.

    thanks for the honesty.

i havent really settled on how i want to do the logo wording. i have since made decals that say just "True North"

if i ever got a fire under my a** and actually started building these i would like to be able to eventually move away from having that on there at all and just using the compass.

Sure it does!!! Remember, lots of professional builders have others make necks and bodies for them...and you made the body from scratch!!!
