So, um, what about the Fender Jazz V? That has more than 4 strings. What about the Fender Jazz Special, which had a P-Bass body, and PJ pickups. Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass...PJ pickups. The list goes on. Who are you to call that "not a jazz bass?" Because it's different? Not the same as every other Jazz Bass? you asked for unique jazz basses, fella. That's one of em.

are you serious? So, by your logic, you're saying that the fender american deluxe jazz bass V isn't a jazz bass at all, either? Just because it has 5 strings and active electronics. I'm not sure what pickups that Conklin has. I'm sure Jean would know best, and he's the one who posted it here.

Oh no. Any one know a good attorney? I paid good money for this bass and the guy I bought it from specifically told me it was a jazz bass. In fact, Fender even calls it a jazz bass.

That's false advertising. In fact, it's fraud. I'm suing. Any you guys want a free "not jazz" bass? I'm gonna own that place when it's all said and done.

Ok it might not be your tipical jazz bass but it's definatly a jazz inspired bass and that's close enough to be considered a "unique jazz bass" so it fits in this thread perfectly. It's also an awesome bass.
