  1. Hey all,
Well I think the title says it all. I'm in love with these instruments and can't wait till I can buy mine. I'd love to see some of yours! I'm mainly looking at the Sonus 5-string fretless model, but anything with ZON on the heeadstock is fine with me! Thanks, all.

I never get enough of posting it either. :D It's actually basically like the bubinga topped bass Manring has called "Jr." The only differences in mine are: spalted maple top (which looks even better in real life), flat/satin finish, and only 1 Xtender (on low string).

Are all Zon basses built with the "reverse" pan control?

The ones with the Bar preamps are wired normal, but most of the Zon/Polyfusion preamps are wired in reverse from what I can tell. I have played a few of the Polyfusion preamps that were wired traditionally though at the owners request.

  16. JRBrown, your instrument makes me cry!

Embellisher, yours is very nice as well. I was wondering if you featured that instrument on any of the recordings on your site?

    Ok, I'll play too...

Thanks to Adrian at Access Bass, I'm blessed with two very nice Sonus 5's...

The pic only does it partial justice tho, the bubinga has an amazing almost golden sheen to it under good light.

If you're talking about the pan pot, that's standard for Zon. They'll make them the "other" way on order, but this is their standard. I rewired both of mine. Took like 5 minutes.
