i did a search and couldnt find anything so here it goes
SHOW YOUR ZON!!
Here's my six-string- I'm still waiting to get a ramp on it to take new pics.
This isn't mine, but I really like the look of this one:
4-String Vinny (California Walnut Top)
6-String Sonus Custom Lined Fretless
In the works is a 6-string Legacy Elite (Spalted Maple Top - this is a photoshop mockup of what it will look like based on the top I selected):
Nice fretless, AJ! Where'd it end up? One thing that surprised me quite a bit about my Zon 6 is that when I saw it, I though it was going to weigh a ton. It doesn't at all- probably is about 9.5lbs or under. The graphite isn't neck heavy either, even with that big headstock, which was something I worried about before purchasing. It's not as neck-light as my six-string Elrick was with it's relatively small headstock, but there's no dive to it or anything.
You're lucky. My 5er weighs in @ 12lbs! Strangely, the fretless 5 weighs only 9lbs.
Your answer is simple man- each of your frets must weigh 2 oz.
I really need some better pictures, but here's my Sonus Special:
And my Sonus Elite Special (Manring Jr thingy):
and the matching head...
your six fretless sonus is amazing
AJ has the sister to my Legacy Elite 5,
I envy you soo much, man, I wish I had that Vinny ^_^
That's totally going to be my next Zon... so if you're ever looking to sell it *wink wink nudge nudge contact me first please!*
I still own it. It's great. I really like the 16.5mm spacing on a 6-stringer. That's why I ordered the Legacy. And, yes, it is very light.
Hey Marcus, how does it feel ripping it up on the Legacy? Everything you imagined?
Sweet looking bass. I got to get me one of those!
Does the legacy series sound different from the Sonus series?
Anyone here own, owned, or played a Scepter?
Words cannot describe, friend
My fretless Sonus. Of all the basses I own, I've had this one the longest
I llike the looks of these. What is the neck like, isn't it like composite or something? whats the tone like?
Carbon fiber necks. They are nice and clear and "clean". That's how I describe it.
I have that same one..but its fretted.
i played that bass (one the same model and color) last week, it was orgasmic
edit: wait no the one i played was a 4. it was 4gasmic though
