    Hi,

I recently put some Dunlop Flatwounds on my P Bass and I wonder if this looks normal to you

The silk of the e and a string touch the saddles of the bridge. Is it supposed to be like this or do I have to remove the silk abit?

I would definitely cut the silk back.

I would not worry about it. I have a few basses that do that and I do not think it effects the sound enough to for me to tell, especially with flats and foam.

^^^This^^^ Use a fresh razor blade in a box cutter and slice carefully. The steel of the strings can take it. Your fingers, however, cannot.

I think the A string is ok, but you should definitely cut it back on the E.
