I was wondering if anyone knows any pretty simple bass solos that sound really good and don't use any slapping. I'm trying to find either a victor wooten, stanley clarke or Jaco Pastorius one.

    Thanks, Mike

That one in "Smooth Operator." It's only, like, four bars.

Someone, albeit young, looking for an "easy solo" especially one by "Vic or Jaco" doesn't strike you as ridiculous? Young or not, the request is irrational.

If you want a simple Vic solo, he gets a few bars of the really slow, lumbering Flecktones tune "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo" to himself on a fretless five string bass.

Not exactly something that'll keep the audience awake, but you asked...

I'm sorry that Jazzbo didn't understand what I meant by simple. I was just looking for one that didn't use too many harmonics or chords.

  10. have you tried Cliff burtons infamous solo entitled anesthesia????

its actually fairly easy for some ppl... there are like maybe a total of 10 times chords are used...
