Any opinions on this topic?
I use a stick, a washtub and a piece of rope for my super-growly, snarly punch.
Edit: a hickory stick, they have growlier lower mids.
Since you made one what for the other what??
Warwick, or a stringray.
But I too, use the washtub for my pile drivingly heavy songs. Ditto on the hickory, I like using hemp rope for a nice deep bass boost too.
From my other topic
And to the other guys: You play the bass hooked up to a tub and sticks?
Warwick Thumb Bolt-On Thumb Bass is hands down the growliest bass you will find.
I've spoken to a number of pile drivers that regard Warwicks as the most pile-drivingly heavy sounding basses compared to other pile-drivingly heavy sounding basses.
I would've thought that the Vampyre would have been growlier than the thumb None of the shapes are relavent to the sounds it produces :scowl:
I'll take australian grasshoppers for 500 Alex!
But you know what smily is cooler?
Dude, I was mocking you and NTB when I said "pile drivingly heavy". Dont' take me seriously
Shh.. Type quieter.
