Too bad the "fixed" options turn me off. No wenge neck= no interest for me.

  5. I think a single cut based on the dolphin or the infinity could be sweet.

There will be a new distributor, don't worry. Warwicks will still have a good price in the US.
Ok, the single cut probably will not be a cheap bass, that's true, but nothing good comes for free.

Cool contest and all, but I think it's rather strange that the winner of the contest gets the 3rd bass put out....

    Who, me? :eyebrow:

I've played plenty of Warwicks. Never came across one that has neck dived.
The Thumb 5 BO is one of the most comfortable basses I've laid my hands upon.

The Warwick neck dive issue is a little bit exhagerated except on the Thumb bass. That's really where the whole thing started as the thumb was designed as 4 string and the 5 and 6 string models have terrible neck dive (because of the short and angular top horn). Most of Warwick's other models don't suffer from neck dive problems (especially since moving to the Ovangkol necks), but as a general rule, using the hard woods for necks like they do is goign to create a move neck heavy balance. The Fortress and Streamer shapes have no problems, but yeah, the Thumb with morre than 4 strings is pretty bad for neck dive. It can be solved by wearing a good strap that "sticks" to your clothes. Not sure how long you spent on the Thumb 5 BO, but i'd be surprised if you didnt notice a tendency to neck dive.

The thumb was designed to be played on the chest area. Is not that it dives, it was made to be in that position!
