Interesting. The law seems pretty cut and dry. It will all come down to whether or not judges want to legislate from the bench. And we all know that has happened a lot. Seems that if they follow the law many of the rights will revert back to his estate after he is gone...unless he lives longer than most.

Yet another reason to read before you sign. It's sad how record companies and managers have, for decades, taken advantage of artists' ignorance this way.

Sore Paul McCartney doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Michael Jackson bought the rights to the Beatle's catalog. MJ's estate sold the rights to Sony.
  6. I hope he wins and sets a precedent for future screw-overs. Either way though, he's Paul McCartney. Win or lose, he's still a Beatle, he's still Paul. Those songs will always be his.

    His last wife didn't either!;)
