I have to admit I've never been in our town park. It's a very small town (How small is it? The main drag is a transvestite.) I'm booked to play Canada Day, and booked to supply P.A. and backline for the other three acts, including a magician, and a seniors choir. I've been in production for 40 years, so due diligence, I go check out the site. The 'park' is a vacant lot about 60 feet wide, and the same deep. It has a gazebo (don't they all?) There's enough room for about 60 people in the park, 100 if they spill onto the street. My original quote was for 4 QSC subs, and 4 QSC tops. A couple of speakers on sticks will do fine. Good news FOUR 15 amp circuits. This is gonna be a good one! Thank Dog I have a 'big stage' festival the week before, and the week after.
As somebody who posts in the LBGT thread, you must be aware at how offensive "transvestite" is considered in today's society.
It's an old Johnny Carson joke. Plus- a transvestite very much exists today, although more often called cross dressers today, it is transgender people being called transvestites that offends. Using it in this context should not offend any more than quoting Rocky Horror lyrics.
