Does anybody make such a beast? Just curious...
There are plenty of custom makers who will do that. Ken Lawrence, Benavente and JP Basses are some 6-string hollows that I've seen here.
Yeah I was sure that there were a few customs but I was thinking more along the lines of a standard, mass produced model.
Modulus' Otiel model
The Modulus looks a little more modern, I'm thinking more of an old school style.
Man, if that had wider spacing at the bridge I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I played one of those at Namm when they came out and they're outstanding. I love the sound.
Modulus (and Mr. Lawson)
Mr. Schroeder's Benavante:
This Stambaugh is semi-hollow:
I think you would most likely have to go with a custom builder to get a hollow 6 string.
That's a sick looking bass!!! It dosen't look like a semi-hollow at all.
There are no 'soundholes'- I had Chris chamber it more for weight reduction than for the tone, although it sounds great IMO.
Oh man... that's yummy! It would look real nice next to my Stammie too!
I think I see a 6er in my future too... maybe a 7....
How much do you want to spend? Just curious...
Yeah, 'cause Chris is ri-DIC-ulously reasonable. BTW, jay_t, Chris may have started cutting wood on my fretless 7 by now(where's the ing smilie?)!
At least at the moment. I was just kind of curious if anyone made them.
If I had it..... you would be seeing it!
