I'm working on upgrading my jazz, and I want to do the pickups next... the stock bridge pickup is a lot weaker than the neck and I want a fatter, more mid-rangey tone that can cut through well. Would I be better off with the the "Hot" or the "Quarter Pound"? I play mostly alt rock, metal, and some classic rock.

  2. I prefer the hot, they're a loud version of a classic jazz sound basically.
I found the Q/P a little thick on the lows and brash on the highs.
