What body style do you prefer? I've been digging slab-esque bodies.

Another thing, does Warmoth accept the request for no-contouring?

Yeah, Warmoth does offer slab bodies. I have 2 Jazz slab bodies on the way right now.

Oh can you show me pics! :p

  4. My bass instructor has a 79 SR that he sanded and countoured. I almost cried when I saw it, but he did it when he didn't know any better...

    :bawl:

But I can't stand slab bodies, so I can understand why he did it.

Either way is fine with me but if forced to choose, I'd go with contoured.

Definitely contoured. I don't know about anybody else, but my torso and arms have some curvilinear lines to them.

I also have a slight preference for contoured, but Warmoth will not do that with spalted maple tops. However, in terms of looks, I love slab bodies with binding, which is what I am getting. Still waiting for the bodies to arrive, so no pics yet.

I have always had slab bodied basses. I assume that by contoured we specifically are referring to Warwick thumb and Spector style bodies? I just got my first contoured bass, a Spector Euro 5, and I LOVE IT!!! it is SO great. but I don't really have a preference really, if a bass rules, I don't care about the body that much.

Oh, to correct a guy from earlier, a warwick corvette is NOT contoured. Only the Thumb and Streamer series ones are.
