  1. What are some of your favorite '80s slap bass tunes?
    Here's some of mine:

"Some Like It Hot," Power Station
"Something About You" & "Lessons in Love," Level 42
    "Pop Life," Prince
"Stay With Me Tonight," Jeffrey Osborne
    "Never Too Much," Luther Vandross
    "Lovergirl," Teena Marie
"Promised You A Miracle," Simple Minds
    "Promises, Promises," Naked Eyes
    The theme to "Night Court"
    The theme to "Alf"
  2. "Colours fly & catherine wheel", "Big sleep"- Simple Minds
    "Forget-me-nots"- Patrice Rushen
"Love games", "Hot water"- Level 42 (don't like the slack tone though)
"Tinseltown in the rain"- the Blue nile

    Shy shy- Kajagoogoo (sp)

  4. "sledgehammer" by peter gabriel. although i guess that may have been the funk fingers. still, it sounds like slap and it's from the 80s so i think it qualifies.

Nice list. Somebody already added "Forget-Me-Nots" by Patrice Rushen. I would also add....

    "Let's Work" Prince
"Bad Boy, Having A Party" Luther Vandross
    "Glide" Pleasure
    "Fantastic Voyage" Lakeside
"Strawberry Letter 23" Brothers Johnson (might have been late 70's)
