Anyone have any great technique that works for muffing B string when slapping on a 5 string bass? I've tried using a spare finger on my left hand, but not always possible....without a lot of practice. Any other ideas?

What do you do to mute the E string when slapping the A string? I presume laying a finger of your left hand across the strings (or just the E string). What is giving you trouble applying this to a B string on a fiver, is the wider neck an issue?

This is what I've been doing. Since sometimes it involves muting both E and B strings....and because of the wider neck, I just didn't know if there was any other technique. I'll just keep working on this technique I guess. Thanks
