So I have a sort of odd technique for slapping, basically I put my armpit over my bass so my forearm is perpendicular to the strings. This is how I taught myself to do it and it works fine, the only downside being having to transition from fingers to slapping, but it's still managable. "Normal" techniques don't work well for me. I just haven't ever seen anyone else doing this and I wanted to get others input on this

I love to play slap that way, but, like you say the transition is clunky. Since I like to switch back and forth a lot I don't play that way unless I'm just sitting around the house. I've developed better methods that transition better
