slew rate?

    How important is the slew rate of a power amp for a bass rig? What is a "good" slew rate?

    Usually today's amps have a slew rate that is good enough for anything. So you can pretty much forget thinking about it.

    Most amps are 3 to 10 times faster than needed.
    Anything with 40V/µs and over is ok AFAIK.

    when i saw the title to this thread, all i could do was think about the slew rate of the gimbals on the mk VI guidance system we use on TRIDENT II D-5 strategic weapons...hee hee...it's confidential, though. if i told you, i would have to kill you. :D
