    YES!!! I just found out today that one of my mom's friends (a music buff :-D) may sell me her portable fender PA system for around $400! This may very well solve my amplification problems! YAY! :D :) :bassist: :) :D

    Um.......don't mean to rain on your parade, but I don't think a portable Fender PA is going to do you any good at all as a bass amplifier. You'd be a lot better off spending $400 on something built for bass.

    They are cool for practice rooms or small gigs.
    You could plug a guitar or keys in. Careful with a bass! I don't think you will like the sound of it for bass.

    I might have a chance to try it at band practice later today. I'll let y'all know if it works out. If not, I'll just get a friggin' bass amp already. ;)
