Talk about anything Slipknot here!!!
(Yes all the images are necessary)
I like the way they slide and tighten as you pull. Pretty cool
Oh, thaaaaaat Slipknot!
Were you serious or kidding?
Fine. Be exclusionary. I'm just saying, when you need to loosen a knot quickly you'll wish you'd been more welcoming.
Is anyone here a actual slipknot fan besides me?
Kidding, of course.
soooooo whats your favorite song by them? I guess? Theres nothing really more to talk about except gear or news.
Musically, I like what I've heard. Can't get past the (as I've seen it described) Cookie Monster growl vocals. His clean vocal sounds pretty good, but the growling immediately has me hitting the off switch. It's that way with all metal bands. I blame the 80s.
Yeah Coreys cleans are somewhat better than his metal voice, but his metal vocals are pretty decent when it comes to Slipknot.
I'm sure there are some fans here.
They've had a few songs I've liked over the years, but for the most part, I've never been a huge fan. I was probably just a few years too old when they got popular. I think Jim Root is a stellar guitar player, but when I wanted to geek out with metal, they weren't quite what I needed. I was always more into faster stuff like thrash metal, death metal, power metal, etc. (I hate labeling metal with sub-genres so much but it's sometimes necessary to differentiate a band like Slipknot from a band like Revocation for example)
Also, I'm not a fan of Corey Taylor's general attitude. He seems to be trashing a different band just about every week. Slipknot is far and away heavier than most mainstream music like Nickelback, but as far as metal goes, they're pretty tame, and certainly don't command the type of respect that he seems to think they do.
Yeah he is pretty obnoxious. But a good singer.
I'm the Clown from Slipknot.
I believe you
I pop on the first 2 albums every now and then. But I lost interest after Iowa... which is amazeballz btw.
Wait, what? They have a clown? Like, a stage prop like the dancing Bosstone? Or an actual clown as part of their entourage, with big shoes and makeup and a clown car?
I'd pay a dollar to see that band suddenly bust out of a clown car, in their Scary Metal Costumes.
well you're close but so far away at the same time
