I ordered a bass last Thursday from Sire, the website indicated 1-2 days for shipping. It's closing in on a week and I still have not received notification that they've shipped it, though their website now says 2-3 days (it's been 4 business days for me so far). Is this normal customer service for them? Anyone else experience this? I know they received my payment because it has been posted to my account. I will attempt to follow up on this tomorrow but feeling a little disappointed.
Huh, must just be me. I sent them an email last night, hopefully they will ship it before I decide I don't want it.
Gatorbait (my son) bought a Sire a few years ago. If I recall correctly , everything went pretty much on time as to it's arrival. Seems to me it wasn't supposed to ship real quickly but it did arrive around the time it was supposed to. If ya want a giggle , float through the GOF thread for the story about the day it arrived.
Thanks; I'll have a look I haven't received anything from them other than an email acknowledging the order, which was placed on June 6, so almost a week ago. No email from them today in response to my query so far. Since the website said 1-2 days when I placed the order, and it's supposed to ship regular ground, and new orders have a longer estimated ship time, I have no idea when it might be here. Luckily I'm not planning to use it for anything time-critical. But, you know, there's that thing of wondering if you really need something the longer you think about it, and I'm starting to get tempted to cancel the order.
Seems to me it took a few weeks between the order and the arrival when the kid got his but they were pretty up front about the delay right from the start. Oh and by the way , he still has it and absolutely loves the thing. It will be worth the wait.
All right, Imma gonna try to hang in here. It's funny, they were out of gig bags when I ordered the bass so I ordered one from Amazon. It got here yesterday.
@LBS-bass Did you spare a thought for public holidays ? There are at least 6 days in June declared public holidays by the Indonesian government,plus a couple of religious holidays.
I hadn't thought of that. I sort of just trusted that what they had on their website with regard to shipping time would be accurate, or at least close. But stuff happens and I didn't need it quickly, so I'm just happy it's on its way to me. UPS says it will be here tomorrow, so I'm excited.
I'm in the same boat. I ordered my V7 5 string on the 9th of this month. They didn't specify a shipping time to me. Website just stated estimated shipping was the 10th. I emailed them to confirm. They stated that this date on their site was when THEY would be receiving them in stock, but I should expect it to ship soon. I asked again for an estimated time frame... They emailed me back and said it would ship either today (it didn't) or latest, tomorrow. My CC has already been charged, so hopefully it'll ship tomorrow and arrive quickly.
