My baby has a small crack in the headstock, the crack is an inch long at most. Besides being really pissed, and not knowing how it happend (crack starts out by the b string machine head, right at the middle of the screw on the back side and runs around to the top part of it) its maybe an inch long at the most, but what i wanna know is it going to be like a peace of cracked glass and just keep spreading? Is this gonna eventually be major damage, to where ill need a new neck? BTW, the bass is still under warranty, would it be covered? Im clueless cos ive never had something like this happen to me b4, and really irate too.
  2. I'd say get it checked out, it's hard to say without eyeballing it. It may be a finish crack caused by the tuner being too tight, a poorly fitted case, a mishap in transport or from temperature changes.
