I am looking to build a small gig rig. Considering an Aguilar DB924, QSC Poweramp(with 2 space soft bag), and a 210(maybe Avatar or something). Would the Aguilar work well as a preamp in that application? Any other suggestions? BTW, I tend to near always run my eq fairly flat, unless in a crappy room or something.

I've heard numerous times that the output voltage of small outboard preamps like the 924 or the SABDDI, etc are not strong enough to drive an amp to its full power. The word on the street is that Lord Valve can mod qsc amps to accept these lower voltages better, and he also has the cheapeast prices on qsc that I know of.
