right now in my 10x12 bedroom i have all my gear in one place

    Gallien Krueger 400RB head
Crate BX25 combo (from effects send of head)
    SWR Workingman's 1x15T Cab

it works great cos the 10 fills in what the 15+horn missses.

anyone else here run similar setups?

Hey - cool idea man. I currently am gigging with a SWR Workingman's 10 on top of a Crate BX-100 (180 watts between the two). Works great - I run from the tuner out on the SWR to the Crate. The SWR is EQ'd for full range (10" plus a tweeter) and the Crate is for about 400Hz and below (15"). Sounds awesome! I also have a Crate BX-15 that I can run off of a line out for some added mid-highs. And I sometimes also run a 12" PA cab off of the SWR as a monitor. Overall, even with all that, I'm only up to 212 watts. But that's ok - it's all I need and I love the tone.

while im up here at college i go take the effect send of my sm400s into the input of my korn dtr1, the send of that gets pushed to the effects return of my peavey basic 112, so all the peavey does is push the twelve or headphones (playin through my dennon headphones sounds better than anything ive ever heard).

so not quite the same, but in the same vein.

kinda. im at the University of Michigan, and man the dorm rooms are small here... 12x14 for two people... anyways when im not with my band i keep my stack in my room. currently its a carvin 210 cab, a home built 18" woofer cabinet, and a carvin R600 head. its about 5'8" tall. i keep my basses in my closet. it is a little tight, but at least then my amp fills the whole room very easily. with this setup its 500 watts. if the stack isnt here i just plug my bass into my soundcard for low volume practice through my computer speakers.

  6. Right now I run a ADA midi preamp into a Peavey TNT 115 and a Peavey Microbass it kind of goes with what you were talking about wiseman, with a 1x15 and a ten to fill in what that doesnt pick up. It works suprisingly well for now, but I want to upgrade soon.
